Seasonal Air Quality

Utah is blessed with four beautiful and distinct seasons. While our air quality is good most times during the year, summer and winter pose unique challenges because of the kinds of pollution most common in those seasons.

Summer air quality is affected by ozone, while in the winter particulate matter 2.5 and 10 is the main culprit. Smoke is an issue year round due to wildfires in the summer and fall and wood burning year round.
